NURBS Modeling Is Not For Nerds!

NURBS is the new nerd

So what is NURBS modeling?

NURBS modeling is a type of modeling that, once you move a spline "point", the model smoothly follow the path.  For example if you have three points, and arrange them in a shape partially resembling a curve; then the model will end up looking like a curve.  The term NURBS means Non-uniform rational basis.

The most difficult thing for me to do was the portal gun, you cant see it in these photos but the front of the gun is very intriget with lots of indents.  Since you cant see much of it from the pictures anywasy, I did a more simplistic taper effect for the front.

A quick look at what I had to work with!

This is what I call my "Debug material test"  This is what I used to differentiate what materials where being used on each object.  As you can each material is a different color, making for a rainbow of colors on the turret themselves.
